Questions
How It Works
How do I know if my commercial building needs mold work?
Common signs include a persistent musty smell, visible growth on walls or ceiling tiles, water stains, or mold that keeps returning after cleaning. A commercial inspection maps moisture across zones and confirms whether hidden growth is feeding the problem.
Can the building stay open during the work?
In most cases, yes. Containment barriers and negative-air setup isolate active work zones so unaffected areas remain operational. The written scope will identify which zones need to be cleared and for how long.
Is bleach enough to clear mold from an office or store?
No. Bleach cleans the surface but does not reach mold inside drywall, ceiling tiles, or insulation. It also does nothing to fix the moisture source, so growth returns. Affected materials need to be removed and the moisture source corrected.
Does Louisiana require a license for commercial mold work?
Yes. The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors requires a mold remediation license for projects exceeding the state threshold. Our vetted local partners carry the required licensing for commercial-scale work.
What happens if I wait to address mold in my building?
Mold spreads through HVAC systems and into unaffected zones before visible growth appears. Delaying increases the volume of materials that need removal, extends the work timeline, and raises the risk of spores reaching occupied areas.
Do I need a professional inspection before cleanup starts?
Yes. An inspection identifies the moisture source, maps the full extent of contamination, and confirms which materials are affected. Without it, cleanup can miss hidden growth or leave the moisture source open, causing the problem to return.
